Short biography

Aymen FAKHREDDINE was born in Casablanca (Morocco). After two years of preparatory classes in Mathematics and Physics for the competitive examinations to Moroccan and French "Grandes Ecoles" for scientific studies in Lycée Moulay Youssef, Rabat (Morocco), he entered the "Institut National des Postes et Télécommunications" in Rabat where he received his Engineering Degree in Telecommunications in 2012.

In parallel, he was an exchange student at Supélec in Paris (France) where he received his Master of Science in Advanced Wireless Communications Systems in 2012. He worked on his MSc thesis during a 6 months internship at Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs France where he focused his research on LTE mobility optimization. He proposed in collaboration with his team in Bell Labs a mathematical solution for a distributive and fully autonomous joint optimization of handover parameters in a dense network of Small Cells.

Now he is working as a Research Assistant in IMDEA Networks on Indoor Localization under the supervision of Dr. Domenico GIUSTINIANO.
