Short biography

I am a Research Associate Professor at IMDEA Networks Institute, Spain. I received MSc degrees from University of Illinois at Chicago, IL, USA, and Politecnico of Torino, Italy, a PhD degree from Politecnico di Torino, Italy, and a Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) from Université de Lyon, France. I held positions as Researcher at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), Italy, Maître de Conférences (Associate Professor) at Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) de Lyon, France, Associate Researcher at Inria, France,and visiting researcher at Rice University, TX, USA, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Spain, and University College London (UCL), UK. I was a Marie Curie fellow, and a Royal Society visiting research fellow. I am a senior member of IEEE, and a member of ACM.

Research interests

I am interested in research subjects that lie at the interface of mobile networks and data science, including data-driven network design and management, remote sensing from mobile network metadata, and privacy-preserving network data publishing.
